This old custom is charming indeed. The custom of "Ribbon Pulling" dates back to Victorian England when the Bride hid small charms in her wedding cake for luck and good fortune.
We place charms that are selected by you with ribbons into the cake when it is being iced. At the wedding reception, selected wedding guests, either all together or one at a time, choose one of the beautiful colored ribbons to reveal a charm with a fun meaning or message.
Charms typically used are an aeroplane for travel, heart for true love, anchor for stability etc but you can make up whatever you wish.
This can be a great alternative to the tradional throwing of the bouquet if you want to keep your flowers and a way to involve whomever you wish, not just the single ladies.
This is also a fun idea for a bridal shower or hens night!
Did you know you can add a keepsake charm to your flowers or cake.
